Engineer Supervisor Nights

Job Introduction

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Engineer Supervisor is responsible for leading the night shift engineering team, ensuring all electrical equipment on site is maintained safely, efficiently, and in line with site engineering procedures.

Main Responsibility

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support the electrical maintenance team during the night shift, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate and oversee reactive maintenance activities on machinery and plant, providing technical guidance where required.
  • Plan and ensure completion of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine inspections.
  • Lead fault-finding and diagnostics, supporting engineers in interpreting electrical drawings and schematics to resolve equipment failures.
  • Promote and enforce a strong health and safety culture, ensuring full compliance with 2SFG Health and Safety procedures.
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping and that all work complies with food manufacturing procedures.
  • Prioritise maintenance activities, focusing on critical plant equipment to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with production and engineering management regarding plant performance, issues, and shift handovers.
  • Support training and development of team members, fostering a proactive and high-performing engineering team.

Come and join us!  We currently have a permanent opportunity for an  Engineering Supervisor Nights   to join our team in Flixton, Suffolk

  • There are Day and Night roles available 
  • The hours of work and shift patterns are 12 hour shifts, 4on 4off 6pm-6am
  • The rate of pay is: £1,092 Weekly 
  • Overtime paid 1.5x after weekly completion of 42 hours
