The hours of work and shift patterns are: Monday - Friday 5:45 – 13:45

The rate of pay is: £13.57

Main Responsibility

  • A high level of flexibility is required and the ability to problem solve in a fast-paced production environment with sometimes conflicting needs & wants
  • Responsible for the day-to-day line operations ensuring that daily targets are achieved with optimum use of resources and labour.
  • Maximising line efficiencies meeting that required quality standards, integrity of food safety and H&S of the Team.
  • The candidate will be a proactive team player, skilled in all aspects of Line Supervision.
  • The candidate will have a solid understanding of Operations process and knowledge of the Customers, Quality and related matters.
  • Ensure that all 2 Sisters Food Group customer and legal requirements are followed at all times e.g. food safety, product quality, H&S policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and accurately complete all relevant documentation as required e.g. staff sheets, materials usage, customer orders, efficiency sheets, H&S reports.
  • Communicate, liaise & escalate issues where necessary
  • Review, develop and manage your team in order to ensure that they maintain acceptable levels/standards of performance, attendance and conduct.
  • To ensure that the site is legally & contractually compliant in all areas and to actively promote hygiene & health & safety, immediately halting any unsafe working practices & taking appropriate action to remedy.
  • Monitor the ongoing progress of the operation, liaising with fellow team leaders and other departments as necessary to alleviate problem areas & resolve problems.
  • Ensure that all employees within your team are aware of their roles/accountabilities, ensure that training is provided to meet these and that all 2SFG policies and procedures are complied with.
  • Ensure that the site achieves and maintains the targeted level of accreditation through customer/legal auditing processes.
  • At all times act in the best interests of 2SFG, its employees, its brands, 2SFG customers and the final consumers of the products manufactured by 2SFG. Participate in developing and embedding a quality-focused culture of behavioural food safety to enable continuous improvement to standards.
  • Undertake other tasks relating to the effective operation and continual improvement of Operational activities and that may be required from time to time or as a permanent addition to accountabilities and responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate

  • Ability to communicate confidently in English at all levels
  • Solid level of numeracy
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent track record of managing teams; building capability, and addressing any issues effectively and in compliance with legislative and company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and build a strong and effective team.
  • Self-motivated and highly resilient.
  • Must be a confident decision-maker and have the ability to challenge the status quo
  • Ensures total legal compliance in all areas of H&S, Technical and people as well as living the organisations values and competencies.
