We currently have exciting opportunities for Hygiene Supervisor to join the team in West Bromwich site D.
The hours of work and shift patterns are: Monday – Friday 22:00 – 06:00
The rates of pay are: £15.07 ph.
Main Responsibility
- Reporting into the Hygiene Manager
- To supervise a team of night hygiene operatives to ensure that factory hygiene is kept to industry and customer standards.
- To ensure that cleaning procedures and methods are adequate to prevent contamination of product.
- Support with the hygiene aspect of internal, customer and third party technical/hygiene visits and audits
- To ensure that all team members are fully trained in the tasks they are expected to undertake.
- To ensure that all areas and equipment are hygienic and operationally ready at shift start-up and that all relevant paperwork is correctly filled in and signed off as verification.
- To ensure that all appropriate procedures are followed:
- Waste properly disposed of
- All areas correctly wiped down and sanitised.
- All team members leaving the factory in a clean and tidy state.
- Carry out investigations into issues and adverse swab results.
- To work closely with all other site colleagues to ensure that correct hygiene procedures are adhered to.
- To always maintain excellent Good Manufacturing Practices standards
- Carry out handovers with day shift production colleagues and communicate to relevant colleagues.
- Ensure cleaning procedures are up to date and adequate.
- To manage attendance records and undertake return to work interviews following absence.
The Ideal Candidate
- Good standard of spoken & written English which will allow written instructions to be read & effectively communicated.
- Solid level of numeracy – able to calculate & report on performance.
- Demonstrable track record of managing teams; building capability, addressing any issues effectively and in compliance with legislative and company policies & procedures.
- Ability to clearly communicate at all levels & build a strong, effective team.
- Self-motivated and highly resilient
- Ideally experience of a working with demanding retail or similar customer base
- A high level of flexibility is required and ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
