The hours of work and shift patterns are: Monday to Friday, 2 pm to 10 pm. Flexibility is required to cover holidays.
Due to required training, the working hours will be from 12 pm to 8 pm during the first month.
The rate of pay is: £12.79
Main Responsibility
- Assist the Supply Chain Manager with ad hoc tasks.
- Handle incoming calls from hauliers and other departments.
- Perform general office administration (letter/report writing, photocopying, filing, etc.).
- Plan daily transport for Birmingham site’s retail and wholesale customers.
- Publish provisional transport plans (Day 1 for Day 2 deliveries).
- Monitor delivery schedules for timely execution.
- Consolidate and publish call overs for 3PL and West Midlands sites.
- Track stock collection and whole birds schedules.
- Report daily distribution costs to senior management using Excel and Navision.
- Ensure on-time delivery for retail customers.
- Obtain proof of delivery and investigate claims/debits.
- Follow up on invoice discrepancies.
- Provide support to other roles in the department as needed.

The Ideal Candidate
- Ability to communicate confidently in English at all levels
- Solid level of numeracy
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Self-motivated and highly resilient.
- Must be a confident decision-maker
- Ensures total legal compliance in all areas of H&S, Technical and people as well as living the organisations values and competencies.
