Site Service Technician

Job Introduction

To carry out repairs and maintenance on the site where necessary, such as wall cladding, fitting of doors and windows, carrying out floor repairs etc. You will be faced with new challenges every day that will vary due to the size of the site. In addition, you will be expected to carry out plant related checks, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Audit preparation work (Pest, Customer, Technical), Building & Services maintenance, IT & CCTV

Main Responsibility

  • To carry out any site maintenance and repairs when necessary.
  • Will often be required to fit doors and windows on site, either to replace or repair any that have been previously damaged
  • Accountable for carrying out plumbing related tasks, for example fitting new toilets or repairing the factory hand wash stations.
  • Will be required to maintain Pest Control on site through a variety of means.
  • Expected to carry out specific checks within different areas in order to ensure the factory and the equipment within are all up to the expected standard
  • To follow all food safety related requirements in respect to toolbox checks, inventory management, engineering handback.
  • Correct use of stores function with respect to requisition and booking out of parts
  • To ensure your standard of work delivers safety excellence through our culture, behaviour, systems, policies & procedures. Managing the standards expected of the role in relation to workshop standards & customer standards.
  • Carry out meter readings and records

The Ideal Candidate

  • Will need to be a versatile individual, able to adapt to whatever situation you are faced with.
  • Some form of previous construction work i.e. plumbing, brick work, joining etc. previous experience within this field will be necessary.
  • Must be familiar and comfortable with Power tools, as this is what the role requires.
  • Problem Solver, must have an aptitude for finding efficient solutions to issues they will encounter on the job.
  • The ability to liaise and communicate with all levels of staff, ensuring good working relationships with all other department, planning and organising work to suit all business requirements.
  • To have the forward thinking, enthusiasm, attitude and the desire to improve your team, department, factory, division and ultimately the business.
  • A qualification in a task related trade would be advantageous although not critical.
  • Expected to take part in training and support personal / departmental development.
