Job Introduction
This role reports directly to the HR Manager
Monday to Friday - Flexible working hours
Main Responsibility
- Devise and implement a recruitment plan with a focus on weekly paid positions and in line with business needs
- Create and adapt recruitment marketing materials relevant to site
- Ensure external and internal communication is simple, accurate and effective and in line with brand guidelines
- Source relevant candidates through online, social media and offline advertising methods and develop new channels to attract from under-represented or under-utilised sources of candidates
- Screen candidates via selection processes in line with standard policy and procedures and within agreed timescales
- Upskill Line managers on recruitment and interviewing skills
- Create and implement an annual schedule to include jobs fairs, open days, college visits etc to promote the site as a local employer
- Develop and improve Employee referral scheme
- Maintain a database of candidates and provide regular management information
- Build relationships with the Job Centre and identify other agencies the site can build partnerships with
- Identify any issues regarding reputation and employer brand and make recommendations on improvement
- Input into Group resourcing plans and new initiatives
- Review current selection materials, make recommendations for improvement and implement
- Ensure all documentation is held on file and completed in a timely manner
- Ensure all relevant right to work checks are completed and accurate documentation maintained
- Prepare offer letters and contracts of employment and ensure the documentation complies with relevant employment legislation and is completed in a timely manner
- Arrange induction for new starters and ensure effective communication with candidates throughout the process
- Participate in customer audits e.g. Ethical Audit, BRC etc.
- Support the site Management Team with employee engagement initiatives e.g. Employee Survey, Coffee Shops
- Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation
- Undertake project work to contribute to the achievement of the site HR plan and Division HR Plan
- Continually keep abreast of employment legislation, 2SFG policy/procedures and commit to continued self-development
- Support the HR team on ad hoc tasks as and when required
The Ideal Candidate
- CIPD level 5 or can demonstrate consistent work experience operating at this level
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders
- An understanding of legislative and compliance training requirement
- Willingness to continue own personal development
- Experience working in a fast paced unionised environment in recruitment, with experience of high volume or seasonal recruitment needs
- Must demonstrate knowledge and experience of using social media as a tool to recruit
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with an ability to problem solve
- Customer service oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills and able to build effective relationships
- Fluency in one or more languages desirable in addition to English
- Able to maintain confidentiality and present a professional approach at all times
- Self-driven, resilient, and able to work under pressure
- Able to create and deliver effective presentations, one on one or in groups
- Flexible
- Competent in MS Office skills
