Role Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Raw Materials Technologist to join our Recipe Dish site in Grimsby. This site is currently turning over £35 Million, with a headcount of around 250 which can flex during peak periods.  We can proudly state that we are the sole supplier of fresh chilled Soups and Pasta Sauces for M&S, for those in the know, the highest standard of food production. As our Raw Material Technologist you will play an important role for 2 Sisters Grimsby. You will work within the Raw Material department and be responsible for ensuring that all database IT systems are updated and in line with customer and site requirements.

Main Responsibility

A role like this will vary and will require you to work across the Technical department giving you great exposure to different elements this will include factory based work, however you will be mainly focusing on:

• Allergens
• Integrity Controls
• All Raw Materials onsite
• Supplier specifications on Online System
• Ad Hoc databases
• Raw Material and export trace’s and customer complaint follow up with supplier
• Defect Material Reports (DMR) collation
• Ad Hoc projects as directed by Raw Materials Manager
• Cover and Support the Raw Material QA at Intake
• Making sure that everything you do complies with company procedures for Health and Safety and Hygiene
• The ability to work effectively to deadlines

The Ideal Candidate

About you:

• IT Skills
• Experience in a Technical, Raw Materials or Production / Intake role within a food environment
• Intermediate Food hygiene an advantage
• Previous raw material or specification knowledge an advantage
• Previous audit experience an advantage
• H&S training
