Quality Control Supervisor

 The hours of work and shift patterns are:
 
 Monday – Friday 14:30 – 22:30
 
 The rates of pay are: £13.52

Main Responsibility

• A high level of flexibility is required and the have problem solving skills in fast paced meat production environment .
• Candidate must have food safety knowledge.
• Responsible for quality, packaging, and food safety of finished products.
• Must be able to manage team, team conflicts and good at supervision.
• The candidate must have a solid understanding of raw meat production, food safety.
• Ensure that all 2 Sisters Food Group customer and legal requirements are always followed e.g. food safety, product quality, H&S policies and procedures.
• Monitor and accurately complete all relevant documentation as required e.g. quality panels, quality checks, H&S reports.
• Review, develop and manage your team to ensure that they maintain acceptable levels/standards of performance, attendance and conduct and performing jobs accurately.
• To ensure that the site is legally & contractually compliant in all areas and to actively promote hygiene & health & safety, immediately halting any unsafe working practices & taking appropriate action to remedy.
• Ensure that all employees within your team are aware of their roles/account-abilities, ensure that training is provided to meet these and that all 2SFG policies and procedures are complied with.
• Ensure that the site achieves and maintains the targeted level of accreditation through customer/legal auditing processes.
• Participate in developing and embedding a quality-focused culture of behavioral food safety to enable continuous improvement to standards.
• Must have can do attitude, supportive behavior and have team management skills.
• Must be able to work in challenging fast paced chicken processing environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Able to communicate confidently in English at all levels
• Solid level of numeracy
• Must be good at using Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent track record of managing teams; building capability and addressing any issues effectively and in compliance with legislative and company policies and procedures.
• Ability to clearly communicate and build a strong and effective team.
• Self-motivated and highly resilient.
• Must be a confident decision-maker and could challenge the teams.
• Food safety level 3, HACCP level 2 would be ideal.
