Job Introduction

Job Purpose: To ensure compliance with legislation, customer requirements and company policies with respect to Food Safety and Due Diligence. Reporting to the shift manager.  To ensure that all products consistently deliver quality, safety and value to the satisfaction of our customers.

Facts and Figures: Achieve specific department KPI’s as set by Department head. 


 

Main Responsibility

•            To monitor and record production activities in order to ensure products are produced to specification.  

•            To ensure that technical / QA information is observed, recorded and communicated effectively.

•            For job rotation purposes operatives must learn all tasks within the department

•            To ensure customer satisfaction and confidence with respect to food safety.

•            To ensure adequate cover of positions within the factory

•            Monitoring of shelf life samples

•            Final bone checks on customer products

•            Assist with daily QASs quality assessments 

•            GMP supervisory checks 

•            To ensure technical equipment is handled and used in an appropriate manner.

•            Ensure site adherence to company and customer procedures. 

•            To carry out any other reasonable task requested by their manager / supervisor

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

 

•            Clear understanding of food safety, food hygiene and quality.

•            Practice good communication skills between working colleagues, supervisory personnel and other relevant departments, i.e. Engineering and Stores, where required

•            Proactive and positive attitude

•            Basic allergen knowledge

•            Motivating skills

•            Problem solving skills

•            Multitasking

•            Ability to work to deadlines
