- This post is working a rotating shift pattern - 06:00-14:30 / 14:30-23:00
- The hours of work and shift patterns are Monday to Friday
- The rate of pay is £12.00 per hour
Main Responsibility
As a Quality Assurance Technician start your journey in one of our state-of-the-art Poultry departments you can quickly climb the development ladder and expand on your learning and earning opportunities.
Paying an hourly rate of £12.00, you have a potential weekly pay of over £450! With many possibilities, you could progress within the company very quickly!
As a Quality Assurance Technician here at 2 Sisters Scunthorpe, you will:
- Monitor and record production activities to ensure products are produced to specification
- Audit labels to ensure the information displayed is correct
- To verify and record process controls
- Ensure that technical/QA information is observed, recorded and communicated effectively
- Prepare customer samples
- Prepare and complete swabs and water sampling
- Monitor the shelf life samples
- Report any deficiencies in the machinery/equipment
- Assist with daily quality assessments
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Technical requirements
The Ideal Candidate
As our ideal QA Technician, you will:
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Be able to manage your time
- Have the motivation to take action when necessary
- Be proactive and have a positive attitude
- Have good communication skills, being able to deal with stakeholders at all levels
- Have a clear understanding of food safety, hygiene and quality.
- Be aware of, and able to implement HACCP

About the Company
UK Poultry represents more than half of 2 Sisters’ business by sales. The division employs over 8,500 people working in a chilled environment to process poultry products which are then marketed to consumers via major retailers.
Our colleagues work across ten primary sites across the UK, where chickens are transported from nearby farms for processing and at our cutting sites prepared for portioning, deboning, and filleting. UK Poultry predominantly produces private-label products for major retailers.
