We are currently looking for a PPM Engineer - Supervisor based at our Value Added Thetford site.
- Salary - £45,000
- Mon - Fri 0800 - 1600
Main Responsibility
- To carry out all PPM task as required by the 52 week plan and to ensure that all assets are fit for purpose and in a safe state to produce product.
- Working to achieve specific Engineering KPI’s set for Thetford site.
- Obtain and fit required parts identify parts required and request.
- Document all Engineering work carried out on the CMMs system with detail of work carried out and parts used on every job.
- Identify improvements and implement with approval.
- Assess and improve PPM tasks.
- Train and assist junior Engineers in carrying out the PPM tasks to ensure they are carrying out works correctly and in a safe manner.
- Report any safety issues.
- Ensure all Engineering parts used are booked out of the stores when used.
- Too improve the machine reliability on the critical assets.
- To always work in a safe manner.
- Always adhere to site and company rules.
The Ideal Candidate
- Mechanical and electrical Engineering skills to NVQ Level 3 Mechanical and Level 2 Electrical.
- 5 years’ experience in a food manufacturing facility in an engineering function.
- Experience of leading a small team.
- Good engineering skills and understanding of Engineering practices.
- Knowledge of coating equipment.
- Knowledge of fryers would be beneficial.
- Good communication skills written and verbal.
- Basic PC and Office skills in Excel and Word.
