- This post is working 05:00 - 17:00
- The hours of work and shift patterns are 3 on 3 off, 12 hour days
- The rate of pay is £15.20 per hour
Main Responsibility
As an MachineTechnician here at 2 Sisters Scunthorpe, you will:
- Plan your workload with Production and Engineering to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum
- Support Operations to help maintain high standards
- Assist with any audits
- Liase and communicate with colleagues to ensure good working relationships are maintained.
- Set up and configure machinery according to production requirements
- Monitor the machinery during operation to identify and resolve any issues that may affect production
- Troubleshoot mechanical and technical problems to identify the root cause of any issues, and implement an effective solution
- Maintain accurate records of machine maintenance, repairs and adjustments performed using our CMMS (Shire Systems)
- Prepare reports on machine performance, efficiency and any incidents/malfunctions encountered
- Comply with all company policies, regulations and industry standards
- Have a substantial and developing involvement of continuous improvement tools to help reduce any losses
The Ideal Candidate
As our ideal Machine Technician, you will:
- Have 5 GCSE's (or equivalent), grade A-C in English, Mathematics and a Science
- Be able to communicate with colleagues at all levels
- Have good computer skills
- Work well as a team
- Be innovative
- Have a good attention to detail
