Come and join us!  We currently have a permanent opportunity for a Learning and Development Manager to join our team in Flixton/Bungay.

  • The salary is: £35 - 40k pa depending on experience.
  • This post is working Days
  • The hours of work and shift patterns are 08.00 – 16:30, Monday to Friday

Main Responsibility

The Opportunity

The Learning & Development Manager will lead, develop, and coordinate the implementation of a performance-focused Learning & Development approach aligned to our overall company strategy.

With outstanding performance. consulting, and learning design skills, you will lead and up skill to support a wide portfolio of projects including on boarding, leadership development and learning pathways for all our employees. In all aspects of your work you will draw on your knowledge of learning theory and current thought leadership, as well as your practical experience of implementing performance-focused learning solutions in a fast-paced environment.

  • The role of a Learning and Development Manager will be to effectively manage and develop the Learning & Development (L&D) function supporting the delivery of all L&D activity and key projects across the site with a strong emphasis on leadership.
  • Design and deliver training materials
  • You will need to contribute to the business success by training and developing our people, ensuring the workforce is able to meet the changing needs of the business.
  • Drive a positive customer focused environment that people feel contented and able to grow and develop to the best version of themselves.
  • Overall control for the L&D function ensuring best practise is followed efficiently and aligns with the Company objectives.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects with systems, databases and KPIs.
  • Foster a collaborative partnership with departmental managers to achieve the best result for the colleagues and the business.
  • Responsible for the compliance of the function and the budget.
  • In conjunction with the HR Lead continually review processes to ensure we are cost effective and fit for purpose through all our training and development.

 

The Ideal Candidate

As our ideal Learning and Development Manager you will have

  • Experience in Leading a team
  • Ability to articulate good practice in a jargon-free, accessible way.
  • A good understanding of the principles of a learning organisation and the importance of informal learning as well as formal training and management education.
  • Excellent presenting skills on and off electronic platforms
  • Experience working in FMCG is desirable
