Job Introduction
To work as part of the Health, Safety and Environment Team to ensure that the site is compliant with 2SFG standards and current H&S and Environmental legislation.
To assist the SHE Manager in the day to day running of the SHE department, to ensure that agreed weekly/ monthly and annual inspections are carried out within agreed timescales and any subsequent reports are generated and escalated to the relevant persons.
Main Responsibility
- To assist the SHE Manager in all matters of Health, Safety and Environment on site
- To be a point of contact for the site team for all matters of Health, Safety & Environment
- Help devise and implement the Health and Safety strategy on the site
- Assist in the management of accident investigations (including home visits)
- Assist in claims management – claims reduction programme
- Accident reporting and statistical analysis
- Organise Health & Safety Training (IOSH, Manual handling, fire marshal, confined spaces etc)
- Assist the site team in Project management
- Help the site ensure it is legally compliant with current Health & Safety legislation
- Ensure the site is compliant with relevant group standards
- RIDDOR reporting to the HSE
- Facilitating visits from the HSE
- Assisting with other Health & Safety audits such as the group HSF audit and Ethical audit
- Set a good example to other employees, visitors & contractors
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the toolkit process

The Ideal candidate will as a minimum, hold a NEBOSH General Certificate.
