Job Introduction
We currently have a permanent opportunity for a Head Guard to join our team in Willand, Devon.
- The hours of work are Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5.30pm
- The rate of pay is £12.60 per hour
Main Responsibility
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the delivery of operational site security
- Leading a small team of Guard house operatives in the delivery of a first-class security service
- Conducting and monitoring staff appraisals and encourage further development
- Staff training and development
- Rota management
- Implementation of policies, SOP's, emergency preparedness etc
- Incident management and response
- Safeguarding of various assets to include people, buildings and information
- Assisting with long-term strategic planning of the security function
- Overseeing the operation of security systems
- Cross functional working with the Property and Facilities teams
- Conducting risk assessments and assist Senior Management in threat analysis across estate
Full training will be given for all aspects of the role
The Ideal Candidate
As our ideal Head Guard you will have:
- Experience of managing the delivery of operational security
- A passion for service excellence
- Experience of implementing security strategy and policy - SOP's etc
- Experience of positively engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
- A full driving license
You'll be a a people manager with experience leading teams of 8+
Ideally you will hold a SIA license
Previous experience in a similar role would be a bonus!

About the Company
UK Poultry represents more than half of 2 Sisters’ business by sales. The division employs over 8,500 people working in a chilled environment to process poultry products which are then marketed to consumers via major retailers. Our colleagues work across ten primary sites across the UK, where chickens are transported from nearby farms for processing and at our cutting sites prepared for portioning, deboning, and filleting. UK Poultry predominantly produces private-label products for major retailers.
