2 Sisters Food Group in Scunthorpe have a vacancy for a Day Hygiene Operative (Cleaner), working on a rotating shift pattern of days and afters.
Purpose of the Role
To ensure the site is maintained to an outstanding level of hygiene that meets the business expectations. To follow procedures and required practices to ensure that cleaning tasks are carried out of the highest quality to maintain food safety and food integrity.
Responsibilities
• Ensuring the facilities in the factory (toilets, canteen, locker room, corridors, offices etc.) are cleaned to a high standard whilst following training and SOPs.
• Report any accidents or incidents to team leader or manager.
• Reporting any maintenance requirements to team leader or manager.
• To ensure safety in the workplace and in this respect ensuring compliance with all instructions relating to the use and storage of chemicals, materials and equipment necessary for the performance of the tasks assigned.
• Carry out any reasonable duties requested by the team leader or manager.
• Clear any waste material that has fallen onto the floor.
• As a Hygiene Operative, you will be expected to handle chemicals when cleaning. You are accountable for ensuring these chemicals are used as instructed, responsibly and appropriately in order to avoid any potential health risks to yourself or other operatives.
Candidate Requirements
• Good observational skills.
• The ability to work at an efficient pace.
• Good team working and communication skills.
• Ability to follow and understand tasks required to perform the role .
• Food safety Level 2 (desirable).
• Chemical handling practices.
• A commitment to your own responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work regulations.
