Cover Security Officer

Job Introduction

We are looking to recruit a flexible, reliable candidate to work as a cover security officer.  You will be responsible for covering all sickness, absence and holiday leave on a large busy factory site.

Responsible for carrying out checks and ensuring the site, property and staff safety. 

You will be vigilant, with excellent attention to detail, pro active and a good team player. 

**Please note that whilst this is a permanent full time position, you will be required to work flexibly to cover the role***

Main Responsibility

Main Responsibilities: 

To act as security cover in the case of absence, sickness or holidays.

To patrol large site, ensuring all security measures are complied with.

Perform walk arounds and security checks on the premises and staff.

To act as first point of entry for all visitors

Carrying out inspections across the site.

**Please note that whilst this is a cover role, you will be contracted to do four 12 hour shifts on a weekly basis***

Training

Training will be provided on site for the right candidate

• First aid
• Banksman
• IOSH Health & Safety

Skills

• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexible and reliable, able to work to requirement
• Additionally, ability to work with limited supervision, after training.
• Good standard of literacy and numeracy.

Package Description

Working 4 x12 hour shifts per week 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am- need to be flexible to cover shifts due to possible sudden absence.

£12.30 per hour plus shift allowance.

Weekly Paid, Company sick pay, 20 days holiday per year and paid breaks.
