Job Introduction
As part of the site technical team, ensure consistent monitoring of company policies with respect to food safety, Health & Safety, GMP and due diligence
Resolve non-compliance and potential non-compliance swiftly and appropriately and escalate to site management in a timely and accurate manner
Main Responsibility
- Observe, report and record compliance and non-compliance to company technical procedures through the monitoring of CCTV and physical factory audits
- Act as an ambassador for the technical department, setting the example for your colleagues with regards to achieving compliance and consistently following company procedures
- Engage with and educate colleagues on company technical procedures and expected GMP standards
- Carry out audits, alternating between viewing CCTV and factory walks, and document instances of compliance and non-compliance for trending purposes
- When requested, present and talk through your role with internal or external auditors and colleagues
- Informing relevant Supervisors. Managers and QAs that non-conforming product has been identified, investigating how and why this occurred and advising on the next course of action to ensure alignment at all levels
- Record all findings of non-compliance on a log where it can be tracked and trended, ensuring the data recorded is accurate and done in a timely manner
- Communicate, liaise & escalate issues promptly where necessary.
- Participate in site projects when requested and ensure that food safety & quality requirements are considered in all site projects.
- Undertake other tasks relating to the effective operation and continual improvement of the FSQMS, Quality and Operational activities and customer standards and directives that may be required from time to time or as a permanent addition to accountabilities and responsibilities.
- Support HR and H&S teams with regard to relevant investigations.
- At all times act in the best interests of 2SFG, its employees, its brands, 2SFG customers and the final consumers of the products manufactured by 2SFG. Participate in developing and embedding a quality focused culture of behavioural food safety to enable continuous improvement to standards.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience
- 2 years in a Food Manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential
- Previous QA or QC experience is advantageous but not essential
- Experience of delivering continuous improvement in technical & food safety standards
- Experience of auditing
- Good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Skills
- Good communication skills and attention to detail, able to influence at all levels
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Microsoft Excel
- Ability to communicate professionally at all levels from customers and auditors to factory colleagues and company management
- Able to prioritise & organise own workload and work to time deadlines
- Self-motivated and highly resilient
- Ability to problem solve and influence in a fast -paced environment with sometimes conflicting priorities
