Come and join us! We currently have exciting and permanent opportunities for an Animal Welfare Officer  to join our team in Willand, Devon.

  • The post is working Days
  • The hours of work and shift patterns are: Week 1: Monday-Friday 04:30am-14:00pm. Week 2: Tuesday-Saturday 04:30am-14:00pm
  • The rate of pay: £15.06 per hour

Main Responsibility

The main responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring deliveries of live birds, ensuring steady supply is maintained.
  • Check and monitor welfare of the live birds.
  • Report any welfare issues to relevant people.
  • Monitor and check operatives on the hanging stand.
  • Assist the Senior AWO in maintaining and assessments of COC applicants.  

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • Good level of English, both and written
  • Good communication 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Willing to learn and attend required courses for this role.
